The Throat Chakra,"Vishuddha" is the fifth Chakra. The communication Chakra is located just below the Adam's apple in the throat, and right around the thyroid gland which regulates our growth hormones. Associated with clarity and growth, this chakra governs our ability to express ourselves.

The crescent-shaped throat chakra symbol is inspired by the moon, purity, and cosmic sound and is surrounded by lotus petals. The transcendence of human consciousness is itself an act of purification. In order to achieve that level of purification, the throat chakra must be open and balanced.
