Here are all the Abracadabra TV commercials of the 1990s through to 2006, when the last commercial was filmed – although the 2006 versions remained on our screens until 2013. That’s 30 years, every month, every week, every day.

The girls in the yellow t-shirts became a trademark for this family-owned retail business in Bangalow for over 40 years.

Even though the people in the ads had changed, the message had remained the same through three decades: snappy edits, smiling faces and that familiar tune

So, from the 1980s when there were only two TV stations available, we were the mainstay of local advertisements through three decades, and we had played our part in making promoting the little village of Bangalow, west of Byron Bay

By the 2010s, our media choices had multiplied exponentially, and the TV had become only one of many viewing devices, so that targeting a local audience would never be the same as it was back when we began
